Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar housing schemes of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), being developed over 10,680 acres at an estimated cost of ₹12,000 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for five multi-storey apartment projects proposed at a cost of ₹2,166 crore.
Approved under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme, the two new housing projects are aimed at supporting planned and modern expansion of Lucknow. Online registration has opened for 4,520 plots and will remain open until October 24, 2026. The projects are expected to create housing opportunities for more than five lakh people.
Registration will be available only through the LDA’s official portal. Applicants opting for one-time payment will receive preference in allotment.
The Chief Minister said the schemes would strengthen access to secure and well-equipped housing for students, young people, working professionals and families moving to Lucknow.
LDA has already constructed more than 9,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under PMAY 2.0, Aditi Apartment and Bageshwari Apartment will provide affordable and eligible housing. For middle and upper-middle-income families, Lake View Apartment, Park View Apartment and Aishbagh Square Apartment will offer modern residential options.
